Dear castor users,
I see in the castor’s documentation that castor can only reconstruct cylindrical PET images at present, I have a double-plate PET system that I want to rebuild, I want to try it as a transformation of cylindrical PET, such as setting the number of rsector to 2, is this feasible? And I rotated the experimental object during the experiment, how can I reconstruct the image of this data? I would be grateful if anyone gave me suggestions.

Greetings,

For the first question, I believe that you can define a double-plate PET system with the cylindrical structure. Using two rsector should be the correct aproaches.

For the second question, there are options in castor-recon for motion (e.g. 7.2.2 Time-based motion correction).

Bests,
Maxime Toussaint
