How to calcuate the scatter fraction of TOF PET reconstruction

Dear. CASToR Developers and Users,

I simulated a brain pet for brain use, and after reconstruction, I want to obtain the scatter fraction for the following case.

  1. true + scatter coincidence event
  2. only true coincidence event
  3. Data after correcting scatter using the -sc function provided by castor

However, if I do simulation, I can get the scatter fraction because I know the information about coincidence for No. 1 and No. 2, but in case No. 3

castor-GATERootToCastor -i utah_test.root -TOF_reso 220 -o utah_t -m utah.mac -s utah -geo -sc

castor-recon -df utah_t_df.Cdh -dout utah_t -dim 400,400,240 -vox 0.5,0.5,0.5 -proj joseph -opti MLEM -it 10:2 -conv gaussian,2.5,2.5,3::psf -flip-out Y - I don’t know about the scatter fraction because I use th 12 -atn Att_Coef_Map_203mm_vox_0.5_avox_0.5.hdr.

Below is the header file I created for reconstruction.

Data filename: utah_t_df.Cdf
Number of events: 737070
Data mode: list-mode
Data type: PET
Start time (s): 0
Duration (s): 30
Scanner name: utah
Calibration factor: 1
Isotope: unknown
TOF information flag: 1
TOF resolution (ps): 220
List TOF measurement range (ps): 1096.35

I would appreciate it if you could tell me how to obtain the scatter fraction from the reconstruction image using the scatter correction function supported by castor.

Thank you for reading
