Dear Xinjie,
The default projector is an incremental version of the Siddon projector, based on:
F. Jacobs et al, “A fast algorithm to calculate the exact radiological path through a pixel or voxel space”, J. Comput. Inf. Technol., vol. 6, pp. 89-94, 1998
You can have some information about the implemented projectors by using -help-projm in the command line options of castor-recon.
